@benln Sundays are sacred ā€“ I get my head down and build uninterrupted. Iā€™ve had a brilliant Sunday and now I reach for human contact after the work is done, so hi! šŸ‘‹ How do build days differ for you such that you want to create a group like this? Genuine question from a place of love.

@noampomsky The reason we donā€™t have a word for it is because itā€™s not a separate concept; itā€™s still suicide. Everything about who you are needs to die in order to be reborn in an act of courageous self-becoming.

@BLUECOW009 @robertmaurerfan You, uniquely as you are, have the potential for action vectors of out-of-distribution magnitude. Live fast (move along those vectors at great speed), but make sure they're pointed in the right direction first.

@burkov @X Genuine questions from a place of good will/desire to understand: what is it about his posts do you consider spam? Too high volume and too low signal to noise? Or do you regard his output to be negative signal?

@mevinter Congrats! I just crossed this modest threshold myself. Feels good man. And 2^10 XP too. Lovely number to cap it all off.

@initvoidself @justinskycak MA is already world-class at understanding your current knowledge base on a topic, so just take the diagnostic assessment, test in at ~90%, and polish up the rest.

@Watchman_motto Right on. Only thing I'd add is: do you actually enjoy doing this? If so, the expected utility of time spent becomes positive rather than negative. This applies to a small subset of folks, though; many toil for negligible savings and don't calculate the trade-offs.

Iā€™d go so far as to say even writing them, ask ChatGPT/Claude. I say this as someone who spent months mastering regex and now regard my knowledge as largely useless. Most criticisms of LLMsā€™ ability to spit out regex take the form of ā€œthey donā€™t take into account the edge casesā€. Well if you canā€™t clearly reason about and communicate the edge cases then you canā€™t write regex either.

@darkblooooood @BLUECOW009 I recommend anyone legitimately interested in the validity of these ideas read The Beginning of Infinity.

@Jonathan_Blow @Oilfield_Rando I suspect many might posit William and the Man in Black reveal, but I'm guessing based on your work you're referring to Dolores and the _actual_ bicameral mind realisation. Specifically the perspective shift it induces, as explored in The Witness.

Interested to see how this decision might influence talent acquisition. My company runs flat; we try to keep titles simple and precise. That said, itā€™s important to many folks that they acquire certain titles that speak to their career progression. I guess youā€™re selecting against whatever motivation this is, but I havenā€™t noticed a strong correlation between being brilliant contributors and being any less interested in titles. Curious to hear your thoughts on this point in particular.

@JSpoiler4 @clongmire42 That's right Jose, I am, but they're heavily modelled on your own in GASP. I'm using the "normalization with common schema" option in my PSSs. I've recorded a super quick vid showing what's going on in the Rewind Debugger, incl. my PSDbs, PSSs, PSN, etc.

@JSpoiler4 @clongmire42 Thanks for the prompt reply, Jose! In each DB, I'm linking to the same PSN_All. Inside this PSN_All normalization set, it's referencing all of my DBs. Unless I'm missing something else pertaining to normalization?
