@AmRevResurrect @GM0WDD Thank you for assembling this. One of my ancestors, Daniel Goodwin and his son, Enoch Goodwin (age 9! A drummer boy) were among the British soldiers and settlers defending the fort and suppressing the Eddy Rebellion. Enoch’s drum is on display at the museum in Fort Beauséjour.

@UlisK3LU Internet Radio is still a thing for me. I use it daily to listen to the BBC World Service, also to a few selected stations in Canada and New Zealand.

@HamRadioDX As soon as you can, try using Morse on the air. You’ll make mistakes, and miss some things, but that’s how we learn. You get better as you keep trying.

@GM0WDD @ve1cwj @2m0sql @MM0OPX @VE6LK @QRPerDotCom @DK9JC It’s not a typo. It’s a reference to the Canada-USA Treaty of 1952, when practices were different. That treaty and that language doesn’t apply to you. CEPT T/R 61-01 does apply to you. It requires you to sign with the Canadian call area prefix first, followed by your UK call.

@RiaJairam Yes, I did have to learn the Morse Code to earn my first Amateur Radio licence. That was in 1975. I use Morse every day. CW is my default mode.
