@somebadideas I was a background actor on Cruella and we all got scanned. I didn't think much of it back then (we were told it was to make the crowds look bigger), but… yeah, wish that hadn't happened!.

Abdullah is just over halfway to reaching his goal to evacuate Gaza. Please help him by donating and sharing! ❤️🇵🇸.
How peaceful I am when I die. I no longer fear death,.I no longer fear.the heavy weight of the ceiling,.the walls, the windows.or even the bookshelves. I will have no eyes. I will have no nightmares. I will regret nothing. I will fear nothing. Please don't forget me when I die.I

@zukosmadre a white woman talking about how scared she is of walking the streets because of oppressed minorities… reminds me of… something. I just can't place it.

@Srirachachau Chuckling to himself as he adds the Bonk sound effect to that stormtrooper bumping his head.

@somebadideas What happened was we were doing the shoot as normal, and members of crew would come up to about 2 or 3 background actors throughout the night and take them somewhere. I didn't find out that we were being taken to a trailer with a scanning rig until it finally became my turn.

@somebadideas As for my contract, I genuinely can't even remember signing one, tho I probably must have at some point? I know for a fact I never received a copy, because I just looked through all my paperwork from that time.

@IWriteAllDay_ This is exactly what happened to me, just without the talking.

@IWriteAllDay_ I've been waiting twenty years for a decent on-screen Cyclops. They had the perfect casting in Marsden and BLEW IT.

@_katiestebbins_ I don't think they've ever even bothered with director intertitles outside of the Sam Raimi Doctor Strange.

@vivafalastin The past three months have been very eye-opening in regards to how bloodthirsty so many people are.

@WrittenByHanna I think all this anti-aging ridiculousness is why there seems to be an uptick in people with the most vacant facial expressions.

@BrndnStrssng Not the biggest Mangold fan but I’m glad he keeps putting Holbrook in his movies.

@tvaziri Just saw this production still on my Raiders DVD and instantly thought of this thread.

always an Iranian at the scene of the crime.
This Zionist goon Matt Mehdizadeh, and his buddy Nouri, spent multiple nights blasting a particular Israeli children's song at the encampment known to be played while the IDF tortures Palestinians. Public officials cannot say they didn’t see this coming.

@JohnDiLillo I think superhero comics as a genre are inherently for children but the medium itself can be for any demographic.

Practising colouring some more. This time it's Catwoman's amazing wedding dress by @Joelle_Jones for @TomKingTK 's Batman run.

Someone ask Scorsese about this instead of yet another Marvel question.
ICMY: 1. This is the piece I’ve been working on for 2 months & talking about here. It’s about Disney placing the Fox film library in its vault & denying repertory showings to most theaters. Additional detail about Disney’s corporate practices generally.

@IWriteAllDay_ They cast Tony Leung as the antagonist too. It's like we're supposed to root against Shang-Chi.

A significant chunk of American film history is now owned by Disney and apparently it's all fine. Can't wait to see how they hold even more classics hostage using the "Vault" system.
Kind of amazing the extent to which writing about popular culture now means writing mainly about Netflix and Disney properties.

@IWriteAllDay_ They don't wash their legs or feet or butt, and then they go online and tell everyone about it

@BrndnStrssng I was so confused after watching Ghostbusters for the first time, because it's like… that's it? That's what nerds have been making a big deal about for 30+ years?.

@BrndnStrssng Genuinely incredible how these movies are just the worst aspect of neverending superhero comics, but dialled up to 11 because of the vastly different mediums.

@mattzollerseitz I wish preservation and access was a popular subject in filmmaker interviews instead of asking them their thoughts on Marvel.

@BrndnStrssng I swear you’re at Ashley Reese levels of attracting weirdos in the replies. I’m sorry it’s such a common occurrence.

@Srirachachau If anything, the absence of a pro-Israel statement shows WGA leadership has a stronger moral compass than the other guilds.

@WrittenByHanna We need a return to those talkshows where people sit around for an hour and talk about their craft while smoking a pack of cigarettes.
