Proud coaching moment…
After our game in Springfield yesterday an older gentleman said to me he met our players the previous night at the Mo State WBB game. He told me how friendly & polite they were to him & he is now a fan for life. This is as important to me as any win.

I am extremely proud of my daughter Kate. She signed her NLI today to play next year at Maryville Univ. She has put a ton of time in to become a very good shooter and basketball player. I’m so excited to finish her senior year with her!

This one hits home. Great person & coach. Brought his team to IWA this year for a game. Dave reached out to me after my heart attack to say he was praying for me, when he had his own health problems.
RIP coach. My turn to pray for your family & players.
The IBCA is deeply saddened by the passing of Fremd HS Girls Coach Dave Yates. An outstanding coach throughout his storied career, Dave was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame this year. An amazing husband, father and mentor to so many, Coach Yates will be greatly missed! 🙏🙏
