The VP is a really smart guy. He has to know this tweet suggests a stupefying understanding of what is going on in the courts right now regarding the exercise of executive power and how our Constitutional government works. .
If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that's also illegal. Judges aren't allowed to control the executive's legitimate power.

This is not an excuse for members of Congress to enable the President to do whatever he wishes. This is not just because Trump is the president. It is because it is your duty to be a legislator.
“The 118th Congress passed 274 laws, fewer than any other since the Civil War. Other metrics confirm its poor productivity. It was also among the most omnibus-dependent congresses in American history.”

Hope springs eternal that Congress will defend itself and, with it, defend our republic. But I’ll believe it when I see it. And I don’t think I will. Im glad Phil seems a little more hopeful.
Congress has seemed MIA over much of this wild last week. But I'm not writing off the institution quite yet. Institutional pride is withered but not entirely dried up. Some legislators (including in the GOP) will fight for their power of the purse.

This pretty much sums up where our politics and our country are at now. Our leaders lie. Typically when they are caught claim that lies are okay because “we” - good - are fighting “them” - evil. Truth doesn’t matter.
Lauren Boebert's office literally pays for POLITICO Pro, which tracks & analyzes legislation, and which she is now labeling a part of the "deep state." We are living in the absolute dumbest timeline.

@UDEducation Groundhog Day Week is a celebration of the day like no other. I climbed the Bell Tower and shot pool in the Rat (Judy won, even with a broken wrist). UD is a special place and I was reminded again why UD is ranked in Top 5 for Happiest Students
