Imagine DEI, "multiculturalism", woke politics, without the cultural soil having been primed by hip-hop [anti-white cultural/psychological warfare] for the past 40 years especially the past 20?
Art has always been political. How people react indicates what their understanding is about what being political really means. The idea that art is entirely separate, almost religiously exempt - away from the political - is itself a mid 20th Century political ruse. Art is also cultural influence. Why would it then be exempt from having implicitly political effects?

The State Dept recruited 22 rappers & related artists from each of the below countries this year and trained them in youth engagement and using art as activism in their home countries, bringing them to Washington, DC do that training. Here's the list:

Interesting fact: When this painting was X-rayed some time ago astounding compositional changes were revealed. The most dramatic being the lady's fan originally was painted open! Young Lady with a Tricorn Hat” ~ Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, 1755-60

@d_knight73 @PaqWilly @Antweegonus They are males play acting, larping as feminine caricatures. Caricatures are always exaggerated which is why guys dressed as girls has always been a staple for humor.

@Vaelys__ @cityaestheticss It should be stripped, abstracted a little for the industrial age. Classical is a way rather than simply a historical style that is copied. This is why renaissance architecture isnt ancient classical.

@PaqWilly @Antweegonus They are possessed by over-identifying with the feminine & therefore exhibit all the darkest traits like hyper-defensiveness, resentment, sadistic cruelty [rather than masculine brutality].

@RebeccaLatham Just art that people like, even with patriotic themes...rather than well funded, highly polished trash masquerading as art.

High-res kitsch slop is still kitsch. What is the 'statue' wearing? It surely isnt ancient styled dress. All that effort, for what? Its such a strange thing that for almost 40-20 years popular tastes have decreased, while the technical means for making beautiful things has increased.

@Storytellerarts @InezFeltscher When newbies who are allegedly rock/pop enthusiasts try & bash the Beatles oeuvre I find it it automatically makes me suspicious about their expertise & their taste level regarding everything else. Its like painters who try & bash Velasquez.
