Zero oversight for third party subtitles has been a known issue with Crunchyroll since basically their inception as a legal service 15 years ago and they've done absolutely nothing about it in that time so I wouldn't hold my breath on that changing anytime soon
CR really needs to think twice about agreeing to stream an anime licensed by someone else without having oversight on the TL for it. When a show arrives with someone else's dubtitles that literally have not even gotten proofread for basic grammar it just reflects poorly on them

Anyway, I can highly recommend getting into light novels! Reading fiction is a lot of fun and there's most likely something in there that caters to your interests, whatever they might be! You can get some ideas from my 2023 LN recap thread for starters:
2023 light novel recap: the first year since 2018 when I read under 100 books (just 85)! Partially this was due to starting to watch more anime again but mostly it was just due to having some big real life changes eating up time. Though maybe this is a more normal person pace?

Since Crunchyroll has always paid their translators in peanuts, I've long suspected that eventually they will run out of young translators to dupe for good quality work and we start getting garbage subs that actually reflect how little is paid for them. Guess we're finally there!
Woof, not sure what happened here but Crunchyroll's subtitles for The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons are straight-up unprofessional. 4 out of 5 sentences don't have punctuation, overly literal translation that mixes up possessives. It's a mess.
