If you are an artist, PLEASE don't do this to clients. It is very harmful.
There is no excuse for refusing to share your sketch, please see this from the perspective of whoever loves your art enough to pay for it. Treat them with respect.
Unpopular opinion. But as someone who buys commissions. I really think artists should show the sketch before finalizing a comm. because things may be off and it really dampens the joy of the final result to see important details off 😕
