Severe COVID 4/20. Almost died twice in ICU. LC related PE this past Oct. 21. When I tell those who want me to 'take off my mask' or 'tone it down' that I almost died three times, their eyes glaze over. You can see them shut down in real time. Dr. F-G helps keep me sane & alive.

It's harder for us who came close to not making it. My Doc now calls me "Dr. Katz" on using up 3 of my 9 lives. It tried to kill me in ICU, it tried to kill me when released. A year later, LC DVT->PE right lung.
I have a problem when someone just...decides to infect people.

Nobody is capable of comprehending that COVID affects people differently to varying degrees. It put me into ICU. I'm known as Dr. Katz by my doc because it almost killed me three times.
Coworker today: "It was nothing. Just a cold." and now thinks I'm lying about my experience.

I had to go in to be checked for a potential blood clot. Pain in my calf; Prior I had a DVT in '21.
Not one, not one Doctor or Nurse was masked. I was asked why I was. "Severe COVID Survivor" I replied, which seemed to stop the questions.
They still didn't mask.

Covid put me into ICU where it went after my liver and kidneys. My urine was black. Bilateral Pneumonia, almost died twice.
For an encore it gave me a PE a year later. I now wear a respirator.
When they ask, replying "Oh, I died. Hope you don't get it" seems to shut them up

My new daily is a 3M VFLEX disposable, which again, I wear daily for 10+ hours. Man is flat wrong.

When I had severe Covid (ICU) there was one night where it was as if the room was filled with flashbulbs going off, but my eyes were closed. That lasted a half hour.
Now, my vision is 'tart', like turning the color up on an old television. Graininess as if I've just woken.

That's the absolute worst thing one could do. It took me six months to just walk around the block after Severe COVID (ICU).
You cannot push yourself during or after it; during it just pisses it off, and after, you have to allow time to heal. It took 1.5 years before I felt OK.

My Grandmother was alive through the Pandemic in 1918. Her stories horrified me.
