Pitchers : changing up timing and leg lifts / slide steps doesn’t just mess with the runner. You can throw off the hitters rhythm as well
- Kelly clearly throws off Grandal’s rhythm here, and he has no choice but to take b/c he wasn’t prepared for the quick pitch after long hold

But two years of work for this degree in Health and Human Performance is now over. Very appreciative!
It’s not every year you get the chance to recognize fall graduates, but this year we get to recognize two of our assistant coaches for graduating with their Master’s degree!

Pitchers - take note, control what you can control. If a guy misplays a ball, so what? Challenge yourself to leave that guy on base.
What you can control is picking up your teammate, and executing your pitch.
The player doesn’t need to feel worse when he goes up to hit...
JD Martinez misplayed a ball in the OF. At the end of inning David Price went out of his way to give him encouragement that he is alright.
JD singles his next at-bat and then hit a home run.
Never underestimate the power of being a positive teammate!

The throwing session is the most important part of your day. It is where you get to actually work on your craft.
So when this time comes we need to be prepared. We CANNOT just show up and throw to get loose. As

would say get loose to play catch.
Warmup is key 🔑
Pitchers-a typical throwing session lasts around 30 minutes. 1/2 of that time is spent catching the ball. That leaves you with 15 minutes to work on your craft. Your throwing program should leave you mentally fatigued from the intent, focus, and targeting you bring to each throw.
