The All Ireland Pollinator Plan should include maps of protected areas for wild bees so that honeybee colonies are limited. Needs buy in from beekeepers @FIBKA_IE Bee hotels are a misplaced attempt to help nature

We do need a single interconnected healthcare system that does away with the old division of public and private. It should be a universal insurance based model with good base healthcare for all. Higher levels of cover for those that can afford higher insurance premiums. The patient should be at the centre of all activity.

I’m expecting a different range of eye conditions to here..lots of advanced cataracts but also more glaucoma, less AMD, more diabetic retinopathy, some TB related eye disease. This will be the start of a long future collaboration I hope. My eye colleagues here are interested and hopefully Kenyan eye doctors can come over here for fellowship specialty training.

@qualann No I have not been to Kenya before. I have worked on similar projects in Cameroon, India and Bangladesh with ORBIS. The new hospital was built by a charity called Fiat Lux and c-founded by Wesley Korir, recent MP and elite runner, and Dr Tom Tayeri, a US based eye colleague.

@Iobey10 Thank you my anonymous friend. I have learnt a bit. It seems name recognition counts for a very big chunk of votes.
