DAI led a comprehensive voter education initiative in Edo and Ondo states, using billboards, posters, and radio campaigns. The @EUinNigeria-funded @EU_SDGN outreach included 67 billboards, 59,000 posters, and a radio campaign that reached nearly 20 million listeners, significantly enhancing voter awareness and participation. Northern Nigeria's education crisis affects 50% of the country's out-of-school children. Governor Abba Yusuf declared a state of emergency, forming an Education Recovery Committee. The @FCDOGovUK funded @PLANE_Nigeria recently published the 2024 Learning Outcomes Assessment conducted for primary 1-3 pupils in Jigawa State. Results showed that learners improved during the 2023-2024 school year, with Primary 3 learners advancing more than Primary 2. Children performed better overall in mathematics. For literacy, 19.2% of P2 learners and 33.3% of P3 learners improved a level while 35.9% of P2 learners improved a level in Mathematics. Read more on DAI’s impact on education here:

Following @USAIDKenya's investments through Western Kenya Water Project in Lumino, Kakamega County, #Kenya, Joseph Ketepa now has piped water in his homestead. USAID investment in Lumino includes laying an additional 11.8KM distribution line, protection of Lumino Spring, consumer meters for existing customer connections, installation of 200 more connections, & a storage tank. The investment helps 5,200 people.

In improving the health sector in partner states of #Nigeria, DAI’s comprehensive approach to health reform, addressing gaps in #healthcare delivery & strengthening #governance structures has helped promote equitable, sustainable health outcomes.
