When I worked at TSM, I was called back from a family dinner - a dinner for celebrating my engagement to my then-fiance in his hometown - to handle a video being recalled due to a sponsor discrepancy. At 8pm at night.
I missed my engagement dinner for a YouTube video.
Pretty insane update on the TSM situation, with more employees speaking up on their fear of Reginald, along with potential misclassifying of employees as contractors possibly breaking California employment laws.

I was misclassified as a contractor, and fulfilled the duties of a full time employee. I routinely worked 11+ hours a day with zero over time pay, no benefits, and no bonuses. All taxes out of my own pocket.

I can't do this alone.
Sophie has a kidney condition and will require further care, upwards of $10,000. To date, I've spent almost $7200 on keeping her alive. If she gets the care she needs, she can live a full and happy life.

Sophie, at 11 weeks old, pulled through a traumatic brain injury miraculously. She is our miracle kitty, forever. She had other health issues early in life and we didn't know how long we had with her. We were thankful for her every day. She showed me what true resilience meant.

I did. I quit in July of last year for another opportunity, had a contract fall through and was unemployed for a couple of months... had some great friends rally around me and offer me freelance work until I landed on my feet.
I'd still leave again knowing I'd be unemployed.

Agency rates are about $70-$100 per hour.
Big esports orgs pay between $200 - $3000 per video depending on the turnaround time/depth.
I struggle to convince most creators to pay $100 per edit. That's the lowest I'll let my freelancers earn - even that is painful.
If you work as an editor and you’re doing the entire video by yourself you should be making like $600-$700 per day, not $100 per video.
People editing for streamers r literally PIONEERING gaming content and people make thousands a week learning lessons from what you make. Get $.
