Yeah, I’ll be blunt, not a fan of a region lock.
IMO a big part of what makes OW esports unique through most of its history is the abundance of cross region play and having mixed teams. Would hate to have NA just constantly get shoved into a locker internationally every year.
Surprisingly little reaction to this.
It completely changes what Overwatch esports is about, very likely forces retirements of up to 40% of all players, with a complete lack of talent to fill the vacuum.
This has more transformative potential than even OWL folding.
