Viewing men as inherently evil and unfixable becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. We donāt believe that they can be better so we donāt hold them to the same standards. This idea is throwing away little boys without even trying to raise a better future.
The thing about women not wanting a son is so real and valid because sadly no amount of had home teaching and sacrifice is a match for socialization and patriarchy. Like really might just hate women (and you) when its all said and done.

@AsiaChloeBrown Usher v BeyoncƩ is really the only reasonable suggestion. Usher has no male peers on his level.

I saw this linguist on TikTok talking about how all words associated with marginalized groups have a process of going from positive/neutral to negative/slur because the societal view of the group is negative so all words specific to them turn negative.
Any phrase that is used to praise black women will eventually become a slur in the mouths of those who hate black women, and that is a lot more people than you might think- especially because those numbers include bw who hate bw.

@AsToldByKenya Zendaya getting roles doesnāt open up space for other types of Black girls to get roles. It just normalizes using biracial women as Black womenās representation.

@AsToldByKenya Itās really naive to think just because zendaya auditions for white/race neutral roles that once sheās casted the project doesnāt use her as the token POC ei euphoria. They view themselves as diverse because zendaya and Alexa but have no people dark than a paper bag on their show.

@perchpercin30s @sunsetsmalum @itsmadimay Yāall donāt think itās weird to make jokes like this about small children? Like misogyny aside, itās not creepy to you to think about a little girl in that way?.

@britshaniece Because people are going to spend their money however they please and she canāt control that. The smarter move is what she did because she pushed the brand to make a donation to the cause. That actively helps people on the ground in a way boycotting fashion nova would not have.

@AsiaChloeBrown Grownish is not good. They never gave Zoey a personality on Blackish so she no foundation to draw from and her characterization is all over the place. Thereās too much focus on her relationships. They hardly mention school + so many things that just donāt make sense plot wise.

@JamilahLemieux I asked my mom if she thought about us being able to get jobs when she named us. (I love my name.I was just curious.) She said she wasnāt thinking about no white people when she named us and she just picked names she thought were beautiful.

@billiskykobina Did you intervene? Did you help him get to safety? Or are you just using this story as a way to down play and both sides violence against women? Because I never said or implied men canāt be or arenāt abused.

@tamarantulla 100% agree. There are social influences that will have an impact on how your child behaves. We as a community and society need to raise boys better. You canāt do that with idea that theyāre going to grow into an āevil manā mindset tho.

@DeeLaSheeArt My post was about children. Children are a marginalized group. Children are hurt by parents who have negative attitudes towards them regardless of gender.

@LifeoftheHvet @WhyLAx20 Child stars do not get paid that much and Skai was not the lead on her show. She is most likely not a millionaire. Halle is probably made a million dollars but I doubt sheās liquid anywhere near that. Keke is the only one I agree with.

@AsToldByKenya a lot of these show runners think if youāre not telling a āBlackā story then Black people arenāt needed. Itās the white supremacist idea of whiteness as default & everything else as other. The show is about teens not race & if you bring a visably Black girl in you make it racial.

@Chasteriia I was speaking about male children. Grown men are responsible for their own behavior. There are ways we can hold them accountable that we donāt though and lot of that is because we donāt believe they can be better so we have low expectations for āgood menā.

@CartierCriminal And when did homophobia start? Last week? Do you even know what LGBT people deal with globally? The us Supreme Court just said decided a week ago you can no longer be fired for being gay/trans! Also, Black LGBT people are still Black. They deal with both racism and homophobia.

@JustRose17 @NikkiLimo It absolutely speaks to their character that they saw thousands of Black people marching and mourning another lost of life and thought the murder of a child was good fodder for jokes. It shows a disgusting lack of empathy and care for Black people.

Why can yāall understand toxic control over womenās bodyās when it comes to abortion bans but not when it comes to online bullying of young women who CHOOSE to have babies??? Itās not your business or choice what these women do with their bodies!!!!!!.
When a young woman gets pregnant unexpectedly I absolutely treat it like a funeral. Because it is. She need to know if she never understood it, that a part of her is about to die so this baby can live. I donāt care how harsh it sound. That gentle shit do not be working.

@jiggyjayy2 āInherently evilā was being dramatic I thought that was obvious. Point was just feeling negatively about having boy children because of the actions of adult men isnāt fair to the boys and locks them into predetermined lower expectations.

@TMoneyFrmDaM Oh, I kink shame! But I wasnāt just then just asking a question. Point being thereās a difference between attraction to more than one gender and desire for group sex or even desire to see your partner engage in sex acts with someone else. Every one isnāt into that.

@MercedesMantis @NikkiLimo Are you dumb? How is making jokes about a murdered teen in any way okay to do? There is no context in which that doesnāt cause harm. The intent was to make a joke about a murdered teen. They thought dead Black people are funny! Whatās not clicking??.

@distinctly_Kara I am speaking solely about male children. But who gives a fuck tho. Bad men donāt deserve access to community simply for existing. You donāt have to feel obligated to entertain men you feel are beneath you.

āMarriage is sex workā only makes sense in the context that sex is something you do for your husband and not because you enjoy it. Most women, I would assume, are not solely having sex with their husband for financial stability.
That āmarriage is sex workā argument really pisses me off. If yall wanna sell your box, sell it bro. But please stop blurring the lines with fuckery because you have never seen a successful marriage in your lifetime. Everyday women are getting harder to defend.

@Chasteriia Iām not saying transform them. Iām saying hold men to the same standard you hold women in your life. If theyāre causing harm and refusing to change, remove them. Bad men donāt deserve access to community. They either do the work or be lonely.

@FinanceFancy @thatssosolana @Platinum_bri @itskeyon @tayfromsouth Thatās the point? No one should be hoarding that much money. 1 billion dollars is more than a person would ever need in 10 lifetimes and people like Jeff bezo have 100 billion. No one should be allowed to keep that much money and not contribute substantially to society.

@KaiLoveYou97 Yeah. I wanted to like it but the writers clearly donāt know what they want the show to be. I think biggest problem is Zoeyās characterization. She needs focus. (You can also tell thereās no college aged people talking to the writers because some of the dialogue is so dated.).

@AsToldByKenya Yup. I moved from NJ to S.C. in middle school and got picked on because my accent āsounded whiteā and after a month it stopped being new and people moved on. If people hate you for ābeing smartā or āsounding whiteā, youāre probably being an asshole about it. Look inward.
