Learning for the Sake of Learning: What's Your Approach❓ We all have those continuing education credits we HAVE to complete—but what about the things we LIKE to learn, simply for the joy of it? I’d love to hear your techniques and approaches! One podcast that continually inspires me is The Kennedy-Mighell Report from @LegalTalkNet. Hosts @denniskennedy & @TomMighell are always tinkering and exploring new ideas, making it a great resource for anyone who loves to learn. For me, working within the framework of my learning disabilities means I’ve developed strategies to stay focused, including setting goals that combine certifications with content creation. 🎗️Certifications as Motivation Lately, I’ve been studying for the @FINRA Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law exam. No, I don’t work in financial planning or have any plans to! My interest in traditional financial markets is minimal—crypto, maybe, but certifications there are still rare. This is purely about challenging myself to learn and achieve a goal. Another certification I’ve set my sights on is the AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) exam. While I don’t plan to work directly in land use planning, the process is a great way to refresh knowledge from law school and real estate licensing exams while diving deeper into urban planning. Will I use these certifications professionally? Probably not—though I do have a real estate background and long-term ideas for on-chain real estate development with @CougarDAO. For now, these goals are just about learning something new and keeping my mind active. Talking with experts on has also opened my eyes to a fascinating array of certifications I never knew existed. Many of them are accessible—you can study, take the test, and explore a new area of knowledge just for the heck of it! 🎙️The Role of Content Creation In 2015, I launched the @LegalTechLIVE podcast to explore the exciting innovations emerging in legal tech—blockchain and AI were starting to get attention back then. My goal was to meet more people in the space and learn directly from #LegalTech founders. What began as interviews turned into advocacy, angel investing, and a deeper understanding of the industry. The podcast became a platform for promoting others’ efforts while expanding my own network and knowledge. Content creation has also helped grow my work with @Experts_Com, @CougarDAO, and other projects. It’s an incredible tool for diving into new interests while contributing value to others.
