A dreadful day. I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics but an ambulance crew came to the rescue. And a call came to tell me that my brother is now in a coma with Covid; the prognosis is not good. Not good at all. Please hold him in your thoughts & prayers. Thank you. X

Ok, not gonna lie: Errol is really quite poorly: lymph nodes and nasal cavities infected, and a fever of 40.7! Now home and well medicated. Back tomorrow, if no improvement. He’s a brave boy and will get through this; he’s been through much worse. ❤️🩹

I’ve been at the animal hospital here for much of the day. Errol had a seizure this morning. I thought he was a gonna but I cleared his air way and kept him safe until it passed. It was over 2 mins. He will see a neurologist next week. It was bad. Really bad. He’s resting now.

So the new care team said that they had spoken to me and agreed for mum to be released into my care, as I’m a doctor. What?! No one called me, and I’m a PhD, not MD. It’s now being investigated…

Mum released from Stepping Hill again with NO warning and with NO care. She’s cold, alone, frightened, and no one to give her her heart meds. FFS. Brother now driving down from Newcastle, & I’m frantically phoning round social care, waiting on the Crisis Team to give an update.

David has just headed off in an ambulance. Stomach bug, then fainted in the bathroom, fell into the bath, and has a 3.5cm gash on top of his head as a result of hitting his head on the taps. 😢

Mum remains in hospital and they are trying find a room where she can watch the funeral via video link. I’ve just got back home and will head to Devon for the funeral tomorrow. A friend from Oxford will look after Errol for the day. This is going to be so hard. Time for bed. ❤️🩹

Errol’s past life does mean he cannot moisten his own nose so I do it artificially. He also lost an eye (that had gone blind from being kicked & kept getting infected). His remaining eye has only a partially functioning tear duct. But momma helps with that too. ❤️🩹
We had a power cut in the village tonight, after which all sorts of default alarms went off. They really stressed poor Errol out so we came to bed early for lots of cuddles. He’s finally starting to relax. 😢❤️🩹

My mum was hitting me a jumper just before her bad accident in 2019. She never knitted again due to damage to her hands. I found it whilst sorting her cupboards. It just needed some finishing touches. It’s amazing! And her nod towards my love of stained glass & bright colours. ❤️🩹

Tried to tempt mum with chips from the local choppy tonight: she ate 3. On a brighter note: there were 3 young lads outside, trying to pool their change to buy a portion. I bought them all chips and the squeals of delight were pure joy, the thank yous heart warming. ❤️🩹
