I miss seeing wonderful geology of my home state in the new place. AZGS needs to bring content over to Bluesky!
Marvelous ‘cut & fill’ feature exposed along US 191 in Clifton, AZ. Older fluvial deposit was removed and filled by much coarser (including boulders), matrix-supported debris-flow. The cut & fill structure is roughly 100 ft in length with ~ 20 ft of coarse fill. ( 5 Oct 2024)
