Since then, Rowan’s followed Wigan and always chosen Number 26 for his club. He’d never seen Wigan play but they had their last home game of the season yesterday with a chance to win promotion. Surprised him with a Dad Trip. He loved every second of it. And so did I.

Middle lad, Rowan, turns 16 next month. He’s wanted to be a goalie since he was about 3 yo. When he was 5, I asked him who his favourite GK was. Thought he’d go for one of the obvious top stars of the time, a Cech or a De Gea. Instead he went for Wigan Athletic’s Ali Al Habsi
