@Laiseran @sacksimusprime @GonzoMcFonzo @willmenaker I might still be the picky one since everyone else is in agreement. Or maybe it's relative? Cuz I know I'm the picky one when I'm out with my family at the Thai spot they all love. Haven't found a Thai dish I like yet, unfortunately, but they know I'm fine getting something later

So I'll just grab some takeout from elsewhere and meet back up with them or wait until I have a free moment otherwise. EZ PZ

@Laiseran @sacksimusprime @GonzoMcFonzo @willmenaker I promise you. In practice, with most anyone I've spent time with, it's not some eternal tug of war of two people being inflexibly polite. People who know me know that I don't mind and people who don't know me will usually understand after I insist once or twice that I don't mind

@GonzoMcFonzo @sacksimusprime @willmenaker So picky eaters in general aren't the problem. It's specific picky eaters who are trying to offload their burden onto you that are the problem

@Laiseran @sacksimusprime @GonzoMcFonzo @willmenaker Is it possible that they may interpret such an attempt as a way of indicating that I enjoy their company so much that I'm willing to get food later so I don't miss out on time with them? Or do I just have to always be prepared for when someone might think the fucking worst of me?
