❌ No sign of Bovaer at @Dairy_TechUK. We had lots of questions, but no answers. 💡 In the Dairy Hub we heard from a panel of industry experts which included: @gwilks2, @TheAHDB; @ProagriLtd, @NFUtweets; Hayley Campbell-Gibbons, @theRABDF; and Chaired by @chriswalkland. It revealed that 🇬🇧UK exports is at just 6% which is falling behind the curve! 🇮🇪 In Ireland exports is at 95%! 💡 @Bordbia budget, €64 million but @TheAHDB budget is probably a million pounds. 🇬🇧 Where’s the support for British farmers? 💰 ⚠️ Dairy farmers - your milk contracts matter. The most shocking thing we've uncovered since posting this is that in 2023 @ForGoodnessShks made the active decision to move production from the UK to (the EU) Austria not to @aurivofarm in Ireland. The initial €28m investment decision was made in 2015 to expand into this sector. The 2023 @PwC produced accounts show a profit of £1.18m and 2022 £2m. It's nearly 10 years since this investment, has it paid off? Are they @AurivoFarmProf farmers getting the full value of the "value added product" or are Austrian farmers taking the lions share? The video was made in a @Tesco supermarket in the UK. The question we are asking is why aren't @AurivoFarmProf using Irish milk to make the product and in Ireland?

For example, @YAZOODrinks is owned by @FrieslndCampina, which have been using Bovaer since 2022. 👀 But here’s the catch: ◘ Bovaer increases costs for farmers, yet pharmaceutical companies and dairy buyers benefit. ◘ Farmers are bearing the weight of sustainability efforts without fair compensation. On top of this, Yazoo is made using Belgian 🇧🇪 milk, directly competing with British 🇬🇧 farmers in the marketplace. It’s time to demand transparency and a fairer supply chain.
