The Nationals have said that there are no jobs in renewables.
But there are thousands of good jobs in renewable energy right now.
We could grow hundreds of thousands more if we were smart enough to capture the endless, low-cost renewable energy that shines on us every day.
At the Conference of Independent Scholars in Canberra today - with fellow scholars - Susan Steggall (Zali’s Mum), Margaret Kelly from Kylea Tink’s campaign, Shirley Randall AO & ISAA president & Cathy McGowan.

We’re incredibly grateful to our Expo Booth Reps who were prepared to take a tech leap of faith with us. It wasn’t an easy process but the Booths were a huge success. While doing a tech test in the corridor, Cathy walked past and said hello and then we had a CIP Booth!
Communities around the country want their voice heard and want better representation and better outcomes.
How do we know? Because people from >70% of electorates have already signed up. Is your electorate coming? See the map here

pull back the curtains on Parliament, Brook shared the research & insights from his book & Katrina led a fascinating discussion about how ordinary people stepped up to reclaim our democracy.
The First Nations Voice to Parliament referendum is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. This Zoom event will cut through the noise & diversionary arguments to give us knowledge, practical steps & processes communities can use to support the YES vote.
What’s the biggest lie of all? That democracy is failing & we can’t afford to fix big problems like fossil fuel tax and subsidies, or fund a better health system. Find out why you need to get involved & stay involved.

I know you’re all worried about Atlas/Advance. So am I.
There are many ways we can support & strengthen our democracy & push back against disinformation.
One way is to get involved in local community groups. There’s a list here 👇
The point is - work out what you can do

⚡️Flashback to our 2022 Convention⚡️
Here's
@Indigocathy
about to lead a session with the then new Community Independent MPs.
She talks about the voice of community being heard in politics.
Two years on & that voice is getting louder as more communities want to be heard📣
Community Independent MPs are approaching politics differently. They're positive and genuinely listening, engaging & delivering for their communities … even those who were skeptical about independents are changing their mind. Thanks

Politics is a game of attention. Punters have the power to force politicians to stand up to the gas cartels and the corporate tax bludgers! BUT these powerful propagandists will not go down without a struggle.Their goal is to divide and distract. Don't fall for it.

True Community Independents don't happen overnight - the community needs to come together and do the community building work before they can consider a candidate or campaign.
