Hearing that my daughter is a “clever, kind and caring person” filled me with the most immense pride at her parents evening tonight❤️❤️❤️ I knew all of this anyway but hearing her teachers say it just hits different😊

I don’t necessarily see it as a trust issue or wasn’t looking at it from that perspective. I was thinking more collegiality, showing that there’s nothing us as staff wouldn’t do that we’re asking the students to do.

Couldn’t be any more proud of our (my🙊) ECT’s this half term. A fantastic collective who not only want to better themselves but the students they serve - they’re in the profession for the right reasons 👏🏻

People hate them because they actually hold students to account and most like to make excuses for students as opposed to challenging the norm and having high standards and aspirations for said students.
Imagine having to hold students to account 🤷🏻♂️🙄😂

Done well it will probably be great and will hopefully entice good people into teaching. However, given the state of workload currently I can see it being a massive burden to a lot of schools who may not have the time to invest but will feel obliged to take an apprentice.

Come on - Jan has a point, it’s not necessarily the pressure on her institution or others she’s highlighting the additional pressures that is pushed onto schools. Yes there is a substantial amount of notice but still an unwelcome pressure for many schools.

Dress codes are open to interpretation - what I deem as business attire some may deem as casual and vice versa. I think a uniform would look smart and remove any ambiguity when asking students to dress a certain way
