They're out, in the open, calling on the President to defy the authority of the other co-equal branches of government. If this precedent is set, what's to keep them from complying with laws passed by Congress? What's to keep them from honoring election results? What's to keep them from honoring any other constraints on executive power as outlined in the Constitution? This would be the end of American democracy and our Republic.
