@EastfieldBSB @jacob_prokarym @TTU_Baseball @DBU_Baseball The conversation in the background. Person 1: “Eastfield guy. D3” Person 2: “I like him” It doesn’t matter the division, these boys can ball. We send guys to the next level every year and we got plenty more that need to be playing at the next level. 4 more to play tomorrow.

I committed to play college baseball having been seen in only 2 showcases. Being able to showcase well is essential for gaining exposure. Max baseball is holding a camp on October 21st at Eastfield college to specifically address these skills.

Players...Be willing to walk alone at times for what you really want! Have tunnel vision and keep your eye on the prize! The climb can be lonely for a reason! Very few are willing to do what it really takes to be GREAT! YOU be the one!

“With the forward move, making sure that we’re allowing the upper half to continue to move back until it’s go time versus you just holding it there and then trying to go. If you’re going to run a race, do you want to be starting from a dead stop or would you rather get a running

Why does Harper’s back foot come off the ground here? As his back hip begins to rotate, his front hip fights to stay closed and he maintains pressure on the inner part of his front thigh. His weight transfers into his front side but not around it, allowing him to stay on the ball

Some of the best facilities in juco baseball and Max baseball gets to borrow them for our camp on October 21st. We are limiting the number of players for this event and are already more than halfway full. Don’t miss out on a chance to be on this field

Why we need to be careful with this information. Thread: Out of 100 young players that try this, 97 of them will swing down at the ball and won’t be successful. 3 of them will think “swing down” and will go on the be successful. Those three tell everyone that swinging down works

Energy is transferred from the ground into(but not around) the front side. This helps the upper body get the barrel on plane with the ball early and be delivered to the ball with greater force. Wrinkles on his jersey indicate the torque he creates between his upper and lower half

@TewksHitting Voto’s swing here is a much better model for the vast majority of hitters who don’t have elite eyes, strength, timing, hand quickness etc… Far more adjustability in that swing. No wonder the guy was impossible to strike out.

@108_Performance I mean the hips do go before the hands. A big issue with hitters that top spin is that they tend to have the front hip/ front shoulder fly open which is a big cause of the disconnection. Watch how Berkman leverages his rotation by keeping his front shoulder and hip closed.

Let those hitters, after understanding what really happens, develop their own “feels” to make their swing direct, adjustable, reparable and efficient. The “real” doesn’t change. The “feel” can be unique to every hitter.

This will encourage 100 more players to swing like this and the cycle continues. But none of these guys actually swing down. They all are more on plane with the ball than they are swinging down. So the “real vs feel” conversation comes into play.

Lets take a moment to consider that there are uncountable number of hitters who were told to swing down at the ball growing up and IT DIDN’T WORK FOR THEM. Instead we should be encouraging hitters to understand what a good swing accomplishes and how to analyze major league swings

I’m all for hitters hunting good pitches to hit. The math behind a 3-0 count can help coaches make this decision.The question is not just what is going to happen on 3-0, but what has a chance of happening on 3-1 and then 3-2. These probabilities are dependent on what happens 3-0
@chriscapozzi5

As coaches how often do you give a 3-0 take? Lose that and teach guys to hunt and drive on 3-0. Many times it is the best pitch you will see yet as coaches we take that away from hitters. Don't over think it and make it harder for hitters. #RideTheWave 🌊
