Phenomenal Junior season from #21! Meny was a pillar of consistency for us on defense. Played multiple positions and performed well throughout the year. Very high football IQ, good grades, a young man that you want in your locker room. Recruit him!

One other thing we’re working on at @vIQtorySports is creating a list “empty coaching cues” and ways to make them more impactful… For example - telling a kid “Hey, be smart!” - does that mean he’s usually dumb? Does that mean be super cautious and don’t make a mistake? You take the foot off the gas when you tell a player to “be smart” because they immediately go into timid mode. Another one would be telling a player “you gotta_____ (catch that, block him, make that play, insert mistake here)” after the player knowingly doesn’t do his assignment. If they can respond back to you with “yeah no sh*t coach”, then it’s probably an empty coaching cue. Always put yourself in the player’s shoes. They didn’t drop the ball/miss a block/ not make the play on purpose.
