My heart hurts for our young men. Insanely proud of how they conducted their business to prepare for the unknown. Leaders in all that they do. And when the time comes they will lead us to a MAC Ship! Proud to be a part of

Quite possibly the most under-appreciated, unnoticed, and undervalued group of people are college football student equipment managers. An ESSENTIAL piece of the operation. Could not operate without those hard working people. Thank you!
The ONLY right way to train athletes is to provide them with what they need in their current situation in order to keep them healthy (to the best of our ability) and drive performance.
Feelings, egos, likes/dislikes are of no consequence.
“If everyone swept their own porch, we would have a clean world”
Quote that always stuck with me.
Shoutout
@Humble_Ty19
for sharing his Grannys wise word with me.
Score a game winner, celebrate with his teammates, all while chinning the ball and handing it to the official. It's not what we do, it's how we do it.
@JusMarshall
just gets it.

Never wanted to be this old fart but...advice to young aspiring coaches out there...if you are offered an opportunity to join a staff as an intern or the head man, doesn’t matter, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL to accept/decline the offer. Grinds my freakin gears man

With a heavy heart we are asking for support for the family of a young strength coach who had a bright future ahead, Jovon Hall.
Taken from us far too soon.
Anything helps, and spreading the word will help the most.
Fundraiser by James Heiss : Donate to help support Jovons Family
We were fortunate to have Jovon as an intern for us here at Kansas this winter. He truly had a bright, bright light. Please support his family through these tough times. Anything helps!

In my experience in dealing with other humans the party that escalates a situation by arguing or yelling, or any other reptilian-like behavior, is more often than not wrong
@RUGBY_STR_COACH
Perhaps it was just for fun...maybe the special teams coach thought it would get guys who ran track excited to block field goals for them. Getting guys to compete for the dirty work. Why does everything have to make sense to everyone else?
Something I’ll tell my grandchildren someday in my raspy old-man voice…
Keep your ear to the street, your head in the clouds and your hands on the grindstone.

You’ve got a dependable employee who stays off your radar, gets work done, and never causes problems, right?
Well stop what you’re doing and go tell them they’re doing an awesome job. The quietly competent need to be celebrated just as often as the overtly ambitious ones.
Two years ago the Internet Coaches showed up in herds to criticize this young man, Terry Lambert. I reached out to help, and he humbly accepted some guidance. Of course he did 99% of the work. Let’s decide to help each other! Wouldn’t the world be a better place?

Copying this drill w/o understanding original intent, fun or otherwise, can waste time. I get that. Same could be said for any drill/exercise, whether it’s deemed beneficial or not. Mimicing w/o context or understanding is certainly not productive...but same goes for critiquing
“I am the most loyal assistant in the world bc I have sat in that chair, and I know what that job entails” -

Most days I find it challenging to hit my 200g+ of protein.
How much of daily protein consumption are you comfortable with coming from whey powder?
I try to keep it at 2 servings (48g)
Earlier this season, Kerry Coombs lost play-calling duties at Ohio State. He called it the "hardest stretch of my professional career." Today, he gave a sermon on dealing with adversity, which should be seen by every college athlete.

Running a horizontal MB throw station with a crash pad. Set it up on an open field (no back stop for the balls). Had to get the MBs back after each throw. Did about 200 MB throws that day…never set it up wrong again!
@PratikxPatel
follow and enjoy much of your content.
Thought you may have some insight on consuming enough protein. Most days I find it challenging to hit my 200g+
How much of daily protein consumption are you comfortable with coming from whey powder? I try to keep it at 50g
@JayBilas
devils advocate to the “there’s not enough money”...what about how MBB and FB on most college campuses are the only funds for all other sports to even exist. So if that money went to the athletes instead of, lets say mens golf or womens diving, then what happens to those teams...
@MarkMaddenX
Respect your craft and opinion a great deal. Love following your content but I work with 18-23 year olds every single day and I can tell you that any 22 y/o can certainly be considered a kid based on many factors, even if maturity is one of them.
Our training is not "Minimal"
I cannot stress this enough. I don't program with the goal of doing as little as possible
Our training is enough to stimulus gains and that's it
Most are just used to doing way too much volume so it looks minimal
