2022 NHSSCA State Coach of the Year
These 7th grade dudes are coming along well. Finally turned them loose a little bit today. Been at this for about 8 weeks. Development is like a good brisket...it takes time. 🔥🔥🔥
Have had these 7th graders 1 day a week during their season now switching over to our development block. Even though it's one day a week it made day one WAY smoother.
Hardest movement to teach is the hinge so it gets hit from Day 1. Big complex day.
Lotti Blythe Adams.
Welcome to the world.

You are so loved. And for those curious, she already has her dad's heart. Wrapped around those little fingers.
Learning the Clean is a big part of our Junior High Program. Step by step from 7th through 9th. It’s a piece of our puzzle. Not looking for perfection but proficiency. These are some of our 9th Graders smoking the complex today 🔥🔥🔥
It’s great when we get to celebrate

.adams you are amazing. The strength that you show through these experiences in unreal. I love you.
7th Graders starting to get the hang of our Clean Progressions. Started about 6 weeks ago with the Hang Shrug and have progressed to what you see. Got a long way to go but love where we’ve gotten this semester.
Teachers have to be certified to run their classroom why is it not the same for S&C/Performance coaches? No longer is it acceptable to just throw a coach in there because “they’ve ran a weight room before” or assuming because they played sports they know what should be going on.
This is what Georgia is handing out. NHSSCA ain’t saving this without full support from Dept of Ed and State legislatures.
What MS athlete can do 40 “underhand reverse pull ups”?🤯
NHSSCA Announces George Adams as Mississippi State Director
Coach George Adams is a native of Lovejoy, GA, George Adams and is entering his fourth year at Madison-Ridgeland Academy as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Adams oversees all aspects of the MRA Athletic S&C.
This one needed its own post. Kid just keeps working. Anderson Sullivan (8th Grader) going to be one to keep an eye on.
Whatcha think
@JBush____
Early qualifier for Big Clean Friday?
That's why it's so important for every school to have a certified AT! I can't tell you the number of times I've seen a panicked parent take their kid to prompt care, the kid gets a walking boot and put on the shelf for two weeks, and the kid loses two games for a "contusion."

Hear from our head strength and conditioning coach
@Coach_GAdams
on the evolution of this program in the athletics department.
Yearly reminder that training shouldn’t stop in-season. You’ve worked all off-season to get more athletic, if you stop training now you’ve wasted a ton of time.
So many quotable lines from this article.
"That’s 55.5 hours spent IN the system, and only 4.5 hours spent ON the system."
This was the biggest standout to me. Time is something we can't create nor get back.
Great read

👏
Introduced our OH press today along with bailing on the bar.
Bailing is a skill that has to be taught. We won't spend a bunch of time on it but we will teach it to make sure they know how to do it.
Man I’m fired up about pushing S&C forward in Mississippi along with the unreal Advisory Board!
First State Clinic is January 21st at MRA! You will not want to miss this speaker line up!

Senior QB John White has taken over the top spot in Mississippi for Career Passing Yards.
White has amassed over 15,139 yards over his high school career. He breaks the record previously set by Myles Brennon (15,138) who
MRA grad John White took snaps with the first and second teams during USM's spring game today. He had a passing touchdown and rushing touchdown, and overall looked impressive despite being just a few months into his college career
