This will always be a special group to me because I met the majority of them in our little league summer camp as kids and I have coached most of them all four years of their HS career. That's something very few players or coaches experience and they've been a blast to grow with

Pad is an extremely hard worker and dedicated student of the sport. He's an excellent backstop with impressive mechanics and an ever improving arm. He hits it where it's pitched and the power is coming with his work in the weight room. Any college would benefit from adding him

I feel like I had a great perspective and probably enjoyed the gathering the most because I was coached by the 90s guys, played with the 00s, then coached all of the 10s and 20s. So seeing them all get mixed up and play with/against each other was one of the coolest sights to see

A couple practices ago the squad got in the classic debate of which fast food/ fries is best. Checkers has always been my 1 seed and I defended the 1 seed. There were some non-believers and some just flat out uninformed. Just had it again today, they are still the gold standard
