That’s the best. I love those 2 guys and the love they have for each other is what this is about. Really proud to be able to be around and learn from both of them.
Never forget this game is about the kids. Nobody remembers the wins and losses. Its about the experiences and memories created.

And the parents of the players we coach believe it’s safe... their opinions and belief is the one that matters most to me. It’s their child and family at risk. I don’t believe they would have them playing in our programs and schools if they didn’t feel safe
Here’s another study but perhaps the biggest testimony is the first-hand experience those if us who have navigated in-person instruction + athletics can give: we feel safe because we are safe.
We take the virus seriously and by doing so we’re safer for it. Trust your schools.

Basketball is a game of spacing and timing, changing speeds and changing directions. Think of the shot clock as a teaching tool. Teaches players to move with purpose, play with pace, and make decisions. Don’t think of it as a strategy tool or equipment cost.

This is absolutely true and exactly why I would hope HS coaches would be in favor of it. If we are about our kids, we should be trying to improve our own coaching as well as helping them improve their skills which includes decision making
I’ve been told that the shot clock (specifically the 24-second clock) rewards the team with more talent. In reality, the team at every level from grassroots to the pros who create the best quality of shots, usually wins. First 20 minutes of Lithuania-USA a perfect example. A shot

This has been a legitimate fear of most of us involved in high school sports. I hope the
@NCHSAA
and
@NFHS_Org
are aware and as concerned as their coaches & administrators. Landscape of HS sports is changing. Must grasp and understand that
You could argue for almost all high school sports except football, “club season” has become more important for college recruiting. With COVID potentially cancelling HS sports this year that likely will contribute even more to this dynamic. HS sports may soon become obsolete.
