Balls need to be driven into the gaps during BP. Your 325 ft HR to the pull side is unproductive and unimpressive. Practice barreling up every ball where it’s pitched to the appropriate gap.

The 15 or 20 swings you get in team BP aren’t making you better. During the school year, the 2 hours of team practice per week isn’t making you better. 8hrs/week, on your own, at least. Manage your time.

Just because someone played the game at a high level doesn’t mean they can coach a team. Talent doesn’t always translate to knowledge, communication skills or passion. Some of the best baseball minds out there never made it out of low level MiLB.
