Serious question…are there actually high school football programs out there that have kids that don’t show up for summer training and still expect to play? Our attendance has been 85-90% every year and it’s not even talked about.

Let me restate and elaborate. The best high school football is played in Florida. Give our coaches the resources, facilities and pay that is given in Georgia and Texas and the margin would be even greater. We do more with less because our players are just that much better.

High school recruiting has forever changed. If you get a committable offer you better jump on it and not wait for a bigger opportunity. Coaches, don’t offer if it’s not. Fewer high schools kids will sign moving forward. The road for those next level players is forever altered.

The way a college staff handles the recruitment of a high school kid is a direct reflection of how that kid should expect their college experience to be under them. There’s a certain way to do things and if you can’t do that I don’t want my kids playing for you. EVER!!

We have kids in our program from as far north as Pasco County and as far south as Gulfport. We have rich kids and kids who struggle. We have naturally gifted kids and kids who have to work for every rep they may get. One of the things we have in common? We love football!!

Every college coach I know loves when a kid plays other sports. Mentally and physically it’s bad to lock our kids into only one thing. Let your kids play as many sports as they like. Encourage them to stretch themselves and try new things. This shows how it may end.

Florida schools put too much emphasis on recruiting services and stars. Johnny never went to a camp or combine of any type and therefore he was terribly underrated. The NFL won’t need a service to see he’s a dude for them.
