My favorite ATO we have used this year. We have gone to it twice. It works against man-to-man or zone.
Zipper, to get a baseline entry. On the baseline drive, we set up a weak side hammer. Inbounder sprints to the weakside wing, to set up the "one more."

There is nothing wrong with coaches who, "do shell drill every day." We very rarely do traditional shell drill. The game isn't played with that much organization. Here is an example of a drill we do for defensive positioning, which turns into scramble rotations.

250+ days without being in the gym with our team, this has been the biggest gap for our players. A lot of trainers mistake "skill acquisition" (how to), with player development (when, where, why).

Missed shots can lead to “resulting.” Resulting leads to a desire to tinker. This can actually create worse results.
Define “winning basketball” for your team & make it measurable. This removes bias & creates the clarity required for good decision making.

Simple drill to work on "attacking gaps" against a zone, getting to two feet, and reading the weakside wing.
GUIDED DEFENSE:
Two gap defenders swipe at the driver. Coach slides up or down, giving passer a read, then runs at receiver (forces a "one more").
