It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of our Labour group leader on East Ayrshire Council, Maureen McKay. She bravely fought her illness right till the end. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I wonder what has motivated Christopher to post this? (I actually know). He of course is displaying his ignorance of bus franchising. There is no proposal for Councils to own and operate bus services in Strathclyde.
Franchising argument in Glasgow nee Strathclyde is fascinating. Glasgow & Inverclyde have no Council housing because they under invested & poorly operated as a Landlord then offloaded stock to unaccountable landlords but somehow they’ll run buses better than they did housing?
