We got assistance when I was younger, after my father was laid off. Then, it was a booklet of what looked like colored fake money. We were made to feel ashamed. Poor people are stressed enough, especially children. Most, who need help, only need it temporarily. We were grateful!

I am a Kaiser member. I received two heart transplants from Kaiser. I walked in to get my prescriptions and was shocked to find no masks mandate anymore. Half the workers behind the counter were not wearing a mask. I felt exposed and a little upset.
