13 Dec 2024: It's that time of the year again. As we head into 2024, wanted to pen down some trading goals for 2025 to look back on throughout the year: 1. Be mindlessly addicted to sticking to my process. My routine and process were what generated the returns for me; conversely, deviating away from it, calling audibles, and overtrading was what derailed my progress. 2. Maintain situational awareness and learn to calibrate your rules of engagement to suit a particular market environment. Offense and defense should be more aggressively managed in more hostile environments – selling half into strength and de-risking quicker as opposed to selling a quarter or third while letting the rest run. 3. Reduce trade frequency by eliminating non-setups (calling audibles), and only taking those that fit my rules of engagement. Part of this goal is by continuing to refine my edge – building out my model book for different setups in my arsenal within the core strategy of trading volatility contraction patterns. One thing I am guilty of is consistency in working on my model books. I can blame it on the lack of time, but perhaps I can better plan my time. 4. Another year of profitability in 2025, regardless of what the market throws at me. Going into next year, the prospect of not knowing what to expect actually scares me. That said, markets are dynamic and ever changing, which is completely out of my control. This just means I need to double down in focus and preparation and take things day by day. I’m sure that by trusting the process, the results will come. Here's to making 2025 an even better year!

With 2024 rolling around the corner, hoping to pen down some trading goals to look back on throughout the year: 1. Approach each trade with a risk-first mindset. New risk should only be taken on the back of success. Control your downside and the upside will take care of itself.

11 Feb 2025: "There is no more stupefying thing than anger, nothing more bent on its own strength. If successful, none more arrogant, if foiled, none more insane - since it's not driven back by weariness even in defeat, when fortune removes its adversary it turns its teeth on itself." - Seneca Today is a sit-out session for me, as it feels like nothing has worked particularly well this month. There will be better times ahead! 🔴

"It's what you don't do that counts. Patience is the key word. Successful trading is the art of doing nothing. It's what you don't do between the real trade opportunities that will determine your success over the long run. You can do so much damage to your mental capital between trades that when the big trade turns up, you are not ready for it." - Amrit Sall

@traderwillhu Hey Will! Not anymore! Bulk of my funds are in my IBKR account trading US stocks. I do occasionally flip through charts of HK equities though (just yest. actually) I would say the China/HK move is already underway, I snagged some exposure via TIGR

@TheShortBear Hey @TheShortBear ! I'm wondering how you would reconcile a potential topping phase in the general market for US equities vs. Chinese equities. Just wanted to know what your thoughts are going forward in the next couple of weeks to months
