Delighted the NI Assembly supported my amendment to include cinemas in places of public entertainment! If this law passes, NI will no longer be the only region of UK & Ire not to offer customers the opp to buy & consume alcohol in cinemas! Who says Independents are no use?! 😉

No issue with @BrandonLewis cutting MLA salaries if Executive/Assembly not fully functioning. He should also consider cutting Financial Assistance to Political Parties which expressly exists to support parliamentary duties - which are currently limited

Manipulating grades to make the overall picture comparable to previous years doesn’t legitimise the system; it undermines it. In an extraordinary year, most would accept an extraordinary overall outcome - esp if students earned top marks. We serve the public, not the system.

To be clear, I don’t run for election as Independent to become a Minister, so I’m good with any outcome. If the opp comes my way to improve policy for all in NI of course I’ll consider it. I’ll do it as a feminist, a moderate, a unionist & so much more but always for everyone. 🙏

Is there any use calling for resignation of politicians who behave badly? They won’t resign because they have no shame. Regardless, a vicious attack on innocent victims should be widely condemned by all inc party leaders in govt. The lack of self awareness is shocking.

Scunnered for the bullies. What happened in your own lives that you take satisfaction from being so vicious to others? It is sad & an indictment of what you cannot do that you berate those who can. Disagree, but don’t degrade (yourself)

As an ideology, there’s nothing wrong with unionism. It’s a PR problem. Unionists need to find self awareness, get to know their (wider) audience & start resonating. While constitution is fundamental, other issues matter, esp those that affect daily lives. A govt would help too…

Missed opportunity by parties to form an Official Opposition to ensure better accountability particularly given the three years that have passed. Many parties claim to do it from within - not possible. You can’t legitimately hold account a govt that you belong to.

The DUP & Sinn Féin will be delighted that just five of Stormont's 90 MLAs are now not members of governing parties, meaning less scrutiny than before the cash for ash scandal. But strategically that could be disastrous for the whole idea of devolution.

Domestic Abuse Bill & HIA legislation lost because of party politics. At what point will politicians start realising that their job is to represent people & progress public services in that vein?

Sounds good. Hopefully access will include Northern Ireland - you know as a region of the UK?

It’s fantastic that our NHS has secured early access to the breakthrough, life-saving cancer drug Sotorasib, initially for lung cancer. This drug can stop tumour growth, making a huge difference to patients and boosting our efforts to get people the treatment they need.

My proudest achievement during my short time as Minister. All those affected deserve our sincerest apology & hopefully this will go some way in saying so. We’re on a journey for #LGBT rights in #NI but we’re moving in the right direction. @TRPNI @PinkNews

2/2 I’m worried for post-election whether Nov or May. I would rather we do the job mandated to us, but my bigger concern is for devolution. Direct Rule will not fix the issues - probably make them worse. I have not forgotten those 3 awful years - others shouldn’t either
