The best opening scene of all time is from Saving Private Ryan - storming Omaha Beach on D-Day. The scene is chaotic, intense, and immersive.

"Look, I know you think she was the one, but I don't. Now, I think you're just remembering the good stuff. Next time you look back, I, uh, I really think you should look again." - Rachel (Tom's younger sister)

Jack Nicholson as Col. Jessep in “A Few Good Men” saying, “You can’t handle the truth!”
(+ interview of Rob Reiner in directing Nicholson in this scene)

Gary Oldman as Stansfield in “Léon: The Professional” was very underrated. Man went from calm, cool and collected to explosive rage at the drop of a hat. Incredible villain performance.

Wallace in the Wire didn’t deserve his fate. Kid was too good for the game.
Plus, a great early performance by Michael B. Jordan cut short!

Macaulay Culkin. He was one of the most famous child stars after Home Alone 1 and 2 but after he took the break from acting in the late 90s his career just never took off.

The Departed (2006) dir. Martin Scorcese. Starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga, Anthony Anderson, and Alec Baldwin. Incredible cast.

“You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know—morons.”

Oppenheimer by a million. Incredible performances, stunning visuals, and a coherent story (even though non-linear)
Dune Part Two was visually stunning but had poor dialogue and weird pacing. It was good, maybe even very good, but I don’t think it’s great.

Mads was excellent in Another Round. Such a great roller coaster working through the pain and monotony of life, and the pursuit of happiness and joy.
