she has no mouth, no sounds since Wingard gave them to Mothra, a weirdly human torso and unsettling eyes, BUT she also has a cool design so she's cool!
I prefer this alien looking one over the other phoenix they made actually, it's way more unique, and you know, bats and mothsโ๏ธ

I never stopped to think about it before but Mothra has blue eyes like Godzilla's (classic) atomic breath, and Godzilla has golden eyes like Mothra's wings (and where most of her power manifests itself) and I think that's cute

I'll miss Mothra's wings being able to change color depending on her mood :'( They look gorgeous and more like her classic wings with the texture now, but I loved seeing her fight and her wings flashing yellow then blue when Rodan tackled her

Mothra was so disrespected and misused I would have preferred if they hadn't brought her back. Where's her egg? Does she need a human to be reborn now? Her and Godzilla's reunion could have been so much better if Jia hadn't been there, Mothra was just a mount.

I think she's always been like that, but now she can hold her own better in "hand to hand" combat with her mantis claws. If she still had the same legs like her classic look she'd just kinda slap Rodan, and to him it'd feel like she was hitting him with a leaf

The only one that really gets on my nerves is the "Godzilla is the only one of his species" thing, absolutely not, in a classic setting? Sure. But in the MV they're all normal animals that evolve and coexist, he wouldn't just spawn out of nowhere.

They messed up the lore KOTM established, but she was basically resting in her cocoon (that was probably chilling there for a GOOD while) then Jia had to awaken her. I preferred it when Mothra could feel it was time for her to awaken on her own, but ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ

I mean little moments focused on her being herself, like we see Godzilla grumble at helicopters and sneer at Kong, or Kong's many reactions to things. Mothra is only allowed to exist if she's with Godzilla or a human, but we don't see her sigh, get frustrated, be happy you know?

Might seem silly but my favorite examples of his work are from the Lego Batman movie soundtrack and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Amongst Thieves!! The latter especially I feel has the perfect vibes for the game I think he'd be going for. I'm SO happy he's working on the score
