My worst fear came true, my Dad tested positive for COVID and is in the hospital. They are in the RGV I’m in SA I can’t drive down them nor can my mom see him in the hospital. Throughout quarantine it was a struggle to get them to stay home. Please pray and stay the fuck home!

Managing social media accounts for over 5 years &still the number one thing I notice is people don’t read. The info could be on the bio, in the caption on the post, on IG Highlights, on IG Stories, on a pinned post &on the website and still get 1000Xs of questions. Who feels me?

Update: My Dad is getting out of the hospital again in a few hours. He will be able to continue to recover from home. COVID symptoms are a rollercoaster but he’s got this! This has been such a stressful week. Stay home today

I got my period when I was 10. In the 5th grade. I had to tell the school nurse because in elementary there are no trash cans in RR so I had to go to the nurses office multiple times to use the RR & for pads because my periods were HEAVY for a 10 year Old. This bill is disgusting
Florida Republicans have introduced a bill to ban girls from talking about their periods in school.

UPDATE: My Dad is now out of the hospital and will be able to recover from COVID-19 through self-quarantine at home. My mom is waiting for her results, and will also self-quarantine.
Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and for all those who are affected.

My Dad called me today asking me about Facebook. He wanted to update everyone to let them know he is doing much better and COVID-19 is real. I replied, “if you need help crafting messages, I got you. I do that for a living. I now won an award.” He laughed. This made my day. ❤️🙏🏽

Update on my Dad. Today is approx day 12 of COVID. Still in the hospital but improving each day. Voice sounds strong. Was able to take off the oxygen mask today and was able to breathe on his own. Levels did drop a bit when walking. They might be able to release him tomorrow. 🙏🏽

I’ve had a therapist since I was 19. Reached out for help after my first semester at Texas State where I was having a hard time adjusting to leaving my hometown. Every since I’ve been in therapy on and off but back to being consistent since pandemic. There is no shame at all
Seeking professional help is a valid and important form of self-care for women of color. There's no shame in reaching out to a therapist or counselor for support.

Day 14: Both of my parents tested positive for COVID. My mom only had a cough& sniffles. My Dad had three hospital stays. He is now out & improving day by day. Can’t stress enough- Wear a mask. Social Distance. Better yet, Stay home as much as you can. & the RGV really needs help

My Dad is a trooper, please continue to pray for him. He went back to the hospital yesterday due to low oxygen levels. His levels are back at 100. This morning he is doing better little by little. Very alert. No ventilator. No fluid in his lungs. They have him on a Zpack.

My hubby is finally home! He survived a year&a half of commuting from SA to Kerrville each day and we Survived two summers of long distance! So happy that chapter is over! He starts his new job with the Zoo in two weeks! So dang proud of him and sooooo happy to have him home❤️
