Subsidised theatres & broadcasting organisations say they want to hear from marginalised voices. But by paying freelance writers so little or so late or not at all, they deter the very voices they claim to be encouraging It privileges writers who can afford to work unpaid.

@TheStage Why does the money owed to the Sumerhall creatives have to be 'protected'? It seems the solution to many problems in broadcasting, theatre and the arts is for the salaried management not to pay the freelancers
