@Lea_EFC The champs league is the problem. A cartel designed to keep rich clubs rich & prevent sustained challenge to cartel members, it also distorts and corrupts domestic leagues across Europe. Now every other club must come together and end this scam.

@davidyelland Newspapers should report the news, not the opinions of their billionaire owners. They have no place telling people how to vote , such endorsements should be outlawed.

@ToffeeTVEFC If you want financial fair play, then everyone gets to spend the same. Next the Rich 6 will de demanding the goals they are attacking must be bigger than the goals they’re defending.

@LouHaigh Just get on and build it. Right now it goes from somewhere that doesn’t want it, to somewhere that doesn’t need it. It only makes sense if it is built north, even up to Scotland.

@rohantalbot @Doylech All part of delegitimising the UN and its agencies so they can’t hold Israel to account. How many UN Resolutions has Israel been allowed to ignore ?.

@sammatterface You are not mentioning the real problem - the structural imbalance between the rich 6 and the rest which means a mafia-style shakedown is possible, to force poorer clubs to part worth their best players at below market rates. Champions league and PSR/FFP to blame.

There is now a Mexican stand off over #Everton. Mosh can’t bin off 777 cos he’d have to pay them back; Prem league can’t bin them off cos they’d face legal action and also force EFC to admin; 777 can’t walk away cos their Ponzi scheme would collapse. who blinks first?.

@Everton @SFoodbanks This is what happens when you have someone like @DavefcKelly leading your fans advisory board - class and quality leadership from the FAB and the club.

@TheAthleticFC @johnmerro1 @peterrutzler How about the champions league cementing a rich cartel at the top, preventing any sustained challenge to that elite, and distorting all national leagues too , to make them wholly predictable and uncompetitive?.

@emilybell @lewis_goodall @KirstyWark @BBCRadio4 It is entirely down to Tory govt cuts to the BBC which themselves are designed to defund the BBC and reduce its ability to scrutinise the Tories.

@vinerbrian @Barry1878 @moranjm9 @theesk @philmcnulty @tomtoffee He does not get nearly enough flak. His logic was “how can I stay in charge of Everton without putting any money in?” The chickens are now roosting so let’s not Motown this charade that he was somehow good for the club - his failure clearer by the day.

@RoseThornsRosey @stellacreasy Are we seriously discussing Stella’s hair on Twitter ? Is this the level of debate you offer ? Is this the height of your poltical analysis ? Leave Stella alone and stick to real issues.

Huge thanks to @EFC_FanAdvisory for once again ensuring fans’ voice is heard by @premierleague’s dodgy commission. Proactive leadership which will unite the Everton fan base.

@rcscribbler @johnmerro1 It has not failed. It has succeeded all expeditions - transferring huge amounts of public money into private hands largely of investment funds in The City. Massive success. Just ripped the rest of us off.

And if you have to draw a line between players’ knees and toes, an offside ain’t clear and obvious so go with the attacker.

@RichardJMurphy Privatisation has not failed, it has done exactly as intended: taken huge amounts of public money and put it in the offshore accounts of City investment funds and their fat cat owners.

@TimesSport The same 6 clubs win 96% of trophies or CL places; the champions league money and now PSR/FFP means nobody else can break into that Rich 6 group on a sustained basis; and the 14 have to sell their best players every year to the Rich 6 just to be compliant. Yeah great league.

@Jim_Keoghan Several newspapers are carrying this narrative this weekend. It is clear that briefing had gone on: I suspect the @premierleague after the backlash over their disproportionate punishment of Everton.

@jdportes Why is the government asking HM Treasury officials to undertake an official analysis of the Opposition’s spending plans - that ain’t the role of civil servants. Especially in an election year.

@Jim_Keoghan @blackrodblue Agree - and it is the champions league to blame, not just the English premier league. The champs league cements the rich clubs at the top of their domestic leagues and makes them a self perpetuating and unassailable oligarchy. Scrap it and bring back the European cup.

@EllBretland Too much celebrating players who are not good enough to play for us. Accepting of mediocrity and accepting of lowered expectations: A top eight finish, a cup run, a quarter final. None of it is good enough.
