Patients with RM were identified through post-SBRT MRI showing characteristic findings of RM. All cases were then verified by neuroradiology. All cases occurred in the SBRT field and were not attributable to fracture, systemic therapy, or local progression.

I personally read through the charts of all 2051 patients. In the final analysis, 1423 patients treated to 1904 lesions were included. It took me well over 6 months to gather the data.

Patients were only then included in the final analysis with a minimum of 1 month of MRI follow up after spine SBRT. All patients received first-time spine SBRT to a level between C1-L2. We looked at dosimetric data on the true spinal cord structure.

To answer these questions, we assembled a list of over 2000 patients treated with 3-fraction spine SBRT at MSKCC between 2014-2023.
