@StevenMcinerney Khusanov’s error seems to have led Pep to thinking Reis can now only start with Portuguese-speaking Dias and Khusanov presumably can no longer start at all. We should have probably thought about the language aspect before buying them.

@StevenMcinerney I’m honestly so disappointed that Khusanov isn’t starting. If we can’t beat Leyton Orient with 2 CBs we spent £60m on, then we have bigger problems than I thought. The whole point of buying them was so we don’t need to risk not fully fit players. Yet here we are risking Dias.

@Coach_DB__ I remember the last time we thought a training pic was the starting line up. It turned out it wasn’t. Personally I think we absolutely HAVE to play Marmoush as striker to try to get him off the mark. We also have to play Vitor Reis, otherwise he won’t play all season.

@OptaAnalyst @alitweedale I think this is a really stupid framing. Why would we want another Rodri? He has to be able to play WITH Rodri for the most part. Wanting a Rodri clone wouldn’t make any sense and I think most people realise that. Emphasis on most.

@ItsLB_City I saw quotes recently where Palmeiras’ manager joked that he said too much to Viana about Vitor Reis, and now he’s gone. So yeah, Reis was 100% Viana and he is friends with their manager and spoke about their squad with him.
