Today, in a published decision, the Sixth Circuit in a published opinion held that @AndyBeshearKY does not have immunity when he punitively directed Kentucky's ABC to revoke @KYCooperrider license in retaliation for protected speech. We look forward to the Governor's deposition where he will have to answer tough questions about very bad behavior. Decision below.

@nicksortor What I want to know is what the helicopter was doing in the traffic pattern — in fact in the glide path for final approach — for DCA? This is the most heavily controlled airspace in the nation. Praying for survivors.

President Trump 2025 is the best version. He is draining the swamp. The media reports on his firing prosecutors because they were involved in his prosecution, but ignores that before that they were involved in targeting conservatives. I had one of them in a J6 case and she made all sorts of hay and argued for a higher sentence because of my client’s political beliefs and social media posts. Draining the swamp is necessary and long overdue.

This is a part of it. But I know some legislators in Kentucky are looking to address some of the other larger problems. The house that is public Ed in Kentucky is burning down. And this won’t put it out. But adding NTI days is like pouring a cup of gas on the house that is already burning.

If there is severe weather, and we have burned the NTI days, then days get added to the calendar. Which is just fine: then students that are struggling get the instruction taxpayers are paying for. What is not fine is adding NTI days where failing schools don’t have to teach to pull struggling kids up.

@unbridledmd China already does this insane overreach with their social credit system. Orwell didn’t realize he was writing a non-fiction oracle book when he wrote 1983.

@ky_statesman @kyoag This had to go from BOP to the state. And yesterday was a federal holiday. I think they are now being released.

@OV_Breezy A bunch of parent and grandparents marching around with flags and chanting hardly meets the standard of the sort of vitriolic and ignorant rhetoric that are you spouting. You may need to be weaned off your daily dose of MSNBC.

And that is one fundamental problem with quotas and dei hires. You hire unqualified people based on immutable characteristics, which then sends a message that causes people to think it’s widespread and that standards have dropped across a race or sex group, and you also send a racist and sexist message that women and minorities cannot compete without a leg up not based on qualifications. It’s wrong.

@vapelawguy That is one strategy, but they gave unconstitutional jury instructions that did not require unanimity on the theory of the crime. I appreciate the defiance strategy but I prefer the vindication strategy.

@annvandersteel This is why the Sixteenth Amendment was passed to permit direct income tax.

You are walking people stupid enough to believe you into a federal penitentiary. 26 U.S.C § 7202 and 26 U.S.C. § 7203 both make clear that willful failure to pay tax and a return is a federal crime. And U.S. Attorney offices around the country post press releases of convictions and federal prison sentences they secure over this.

@CazNeerg @beinlibertarian So instead of standing on principle until enough people join him, Massie should go along to get along, and screw the country? And you call that “effective.” Pardon me if I disagree. Change starts with one person saying “no, this isn’t right.”
