A real privilege to welcome students from @MercyAcademyJag to the AG’s office and discuss how we are working to protect Kentuckians from online exploitation. These young people are the reason Kentucky’s future is bright!

From the east to the west, this Commonwealth is blessed with great leadership in our counties. It was a privilege to spend the morning with them in Lexington to discuss how our Office is ready to support them at any hour.

President Trump promised to end the Biden Administration’s illegal and illogical EV mandates. We beat one of these out-of-touch mandates in federal court right here in Kentucky, and now President Trump has solidified our victory. More:

The threat from deadly drugs to our kids has never been greater. We must collaborate - across agencies and counties - to protect Kentucky families. I applaud the leadership of Oldham and these counties to make it happen!

Kentucky’s agriculture is one of our greatest drivers; our farmers feed the Commonwealth and the world. We’re oppposing outrageous requirements on pig farmers and pork processors that could put them out of business.

Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy Caleb Conley was shot & killed during a 2023 traffic stop. Today, thanks to an incredible team of investigators and prosecutors, the man responsible learned he will spend the rest of his life behind bars, without the possibility of parole.

Costco has a motto to ‘Do the right thing,’ but their DEI business practices are all wrong. That’s why we are joining other attorneys general across the country to call on them to change.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pause to remember those who died at the hands of evil. Thanks to @BluegrassRabbi who shared with me today his annual report on antisemitism in Kentucky. We must stand guard against this hate in our Commonwealth.

Our prayers are with the loved ones and colleagues of Bell County Jailer Robin Venable, who passed away this weekend. Our Commonwealth is fortunate to have dedicated people like Jailer Venable who serve behind the wall with compassion and integrity.

This Northeastern Kentucky man preyed on young girls for years. Now, thanks to the relentless efforts of investigators and prosecutors, he will be unable to harm kids from his new vantage point of a prison cell.

Today, we remember Preston Cope and Bailey Holt, who were just 15 when their promising young lives were tragically ended. We continue praying for all those whose lives were forever changed on this day at Marshall County High School in 2018. #MarshallStrong

As a former FBI special agent, I am sickened by President Biden’s final and cowardly commutation of Leonard Peltier, a convicted cop killer. The two FBI agents he brutally murdered never returned home to their families. My prayers today are with the Coler and Williams families.

FBI Agents Association Statement on Commutation of Leonard Peltier:   “The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) is outraged by then-President Biden’s decision to commute the sentence of Leonard Peltier, a convicted cop killer responsible for the brutal murders of FBI Special Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams. This last-second, disgraceful act by then-President Biden, which does not change Peltier’s guilt but does release him from prison, is cowardly and lacks accountability. It is a cruel betrayal to the families and colleagues of these fallen Agents and is a slap in the face of law enforcement.   Agents Coler and Williams gave their lives in service to this nation, and their families continue to bear the heavy burden of that sacrifice. The loss of these heroes is felt as deeply today within the FBI family as it was in 1975. Leonard Peltier has never expressed remorse for his actions. Special Agents Coler and Williams were stolen from their families, robbed of the chance to share precious time and milestones with their loved ones.  Leonard Peltier should not have been granted a mercy he so cruelly denied to the Coler and Williams families.   The profound sacrifice made by Agents Coler and Williams should be honored, not diminished. FBIAA remains steadfast in our commitment to preserving their legacies, and we look forward to working with new leadership in Washington to protect the public, honor our heroes and leave cop killers where they belong — in prison.”
