Had a conversation w/ a recruit yesterday about “pitching”. Refreshing to hear the athlete understand there is nuance involved. In an age of tech/metrics its important to know that pitching isn’t just chasing a number, there has to be an awareness of how to compete & adjust.

Player development people in the pros are finding that they are having to teach basic baseball skills & fundamentals because players are training to metrics and data. Leaving them with a tremendous void in baseball awareness.
