No one is fooled by euphemistically calling abortion "reproductive healthcare." Everyone knows it is the taking of a human life created in the image of God.
Everyone.
Pray with
@Ligonier
for Iran and the global church.
In just a few hours,
@RCSproul
's teaching will be broadcast on TV for the first time in Iran. Viewers will hear R.C. teach on “What Did Jesus Do?” in their native language of Farsi via satellite TV broadcast throughout Iran.
Today marks five years since
@RCSproul
went to be with the Lord. Not a day goes by that I do not miss that happy warrior—his wisdom and wit, his zeal and his love, his boldness and his kindness.
If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me. —M'Cheyne
One of my favorite photos of them. From 2009 outside Luther’s house, sitting on the stoops Katie gave to Martin as a gift.
Today would’ve been
@RCSproul
and Vesta’s 60th wedding anniversary.
We were warned.
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."
(2 Timothy 4:3–4)
Marking six years today of missing R.C., our beloved founder at
@Ligonier
. He was a gifted, passionate, and cheerful Bible teacher and theologian whose teaching ministry the Lord is blessing among the nations.
Keep your head down and strive to do work that is relevant 1,000 years from now. There’s a reason we still talk about Athanasius, Augustine, Anselm, Wycliffe, Luther, Tyndale, Calvin, Turretin, et al.
It's been two years since R.C. went to be with the Lord. His timeless teaching is still reaching millions of new people every year, and for that we are grateful. But for those who knew him well, we miss his generosity of spirit and hearing him laugh.

Two years ago
@RCSproul
preached his last sermon.
He concluded that sermon with these words: “I pray with all my heart that God will awaken each one of us today to the sweetness, the loveliness, the glory of the gospel declared by Christ.”
Please be in prayer for the Lord to strengthen His church thru this weekend’s
@Ligonier
conference in London. We’re expecting attendees from 27 countries and 26 states.

. Thank you for praying for all those in harm's way, particularly those in the Tampa area and the first responders who will be on the scene in the aftermath. Psalm 46.
Religion is inescapable because mankind is incurably religious. Take away the true God and we are left with an intolerable vacuum, a vacuum that we and nature abhor. It must be filled. If God is banished, idols will rush in to fill the void. —

Those who loved R.C. Sproul best will miss him most; we will all miss him. But we would not keep him back from that vision of God for which he lived and in which he has died. Soli Deo gloria! —Sinclair Ferguson
Do not underestimate the sanctifying power of regularly sitting under the preaching of God’s Word in the company of God’s people during public worship.
Though ministers die, yet their words live; their words take hold of men when they are in the dust (Zech. 1:6). —John Flavel
Thankful that

and that He continues to do so.
Pray for local church pastors and leaders who know, love, visit, and faithfully serve God's people entrusted to their care. No Christian can be sustained in isolation by mere internet-based ministry.
Integrity in obeying God may land you in a prison in Phillipi, a furnace in Babylon, or in the halls of power in Egypt. God is the author of our faith.

Yes, courage and conviction are surely lacking in our neobarbarian era, but it is impossible for Christianity to perish because the Lord reigns and He will build His church. Psalm 2.
"When this passing world is done,
When has sunk yon glaring sun,
When we stand with Christ in glory,
Looking o’er life’s finished story,
Then, Lord, shall I fully know—
Not till then—how much I owe."
