@mikekofoed Flying blind... agree on the lack of objetive evaluation to figure out what works here. Given what we have on hand - what do you think is important to be careful with when implementing ESAs ?

Digging into the recent surge in ESAs (i.e. vouchers plus Education Savings Accounts) and surprised by how differently these programs are getting implemented across states. This is a case where details matter - can't emphasize enough how important accountability / transparency for school choice programs like these to sustainable over time.

Lets get families access to full day childcare, this policy pays for its self many times over.

... policy details matter and if families don't see tangible improvements in access soon, or a few bad apples among providers give the policy a bad name - we'll be back to status quo in a few years having missed the opportunity for progress.

@Karmedge @elonmusk @realDonaldTrump @JDVance This is so dumb. US gov paper pusher admin at embassies have to have the biggest ratio between "power trips abusing their authority" relative to the "actual authority and expertise"

And yes, I drank the Kool-Aid on AI and yes I am a hard core technoptimist! I have also spent a decade studying how transaction frictions make education markets less efficient and less equitable than they could be. I can foresee the coming changes as AI tools cut threw this all and honestly I am stoked.

@krdonnelly @Tommy_USA Definitly a lot of duplication and inefficiency in the way the current system is set up to get families access to education. A lot of scope for innovation that will improve outcomes and reduce costs.
