@HEATVSREFS Benign feel good video of teammates casually greeting each other (probably for the first time), Davion snapping pics like he’s just happy to be there… Miserable HEAT Twitter guy: “Why we treating these 3 like they’re Wade, Bosh, and Bron?”

@Alf954 @UNISOLDIERMUA Also this is completely Jimmy’s MO to get sick of one team CHI, MIN, PHI, MIA then suddenly start playing well again on his new team.. so everyone can say.. Man why would you get rid of him.

@MertzAndrew @SRochesterNBA We’ve spent the last 5½ years trying to get another star (KD, Lillard, etc.) next to Jimmy for the very reason that he wasn’t the A1 guy to give you 27-30 a night. If anyone on this team has been doing “everything” for the last 5+ years, it’s been Bam more than Jimmy.

I’ll never understand the value of these accounts. How are you this miserable 24/7? Jimmy just got moved, new guys haven’t even played A game (let alone 20), & even if Herro & Bam both dropped 40 on elite efficiency, they’d still say: ‘Let’s see them do it against a real team.’
"Once Jimmy is traded, the vibes will be so much better" They scored 9 points in the 4th quarter. 33 American points in the 2nd half.

@Alf954 ..or maybe he playing the law of averages with Terry and that eventually it will course correct to the norm.. Only problem is Terrys been so bad that might not be until 2035.

Spo’s job is to maximise talent—putting the best players in the best spots to win. That’s fully controllable. Blaming talent for losses to Brooklyn, the Bulls, and tanking teams is wild. John said he wouldn’t trade this talent for KD, but now the same talent is the issue?
Seeing so much talk about Spoelstra but most of the result is on the talent on the court rather than any bad rotation he makes His lineup/rotations decisions have been "very" questionable. He's been bad but blaming the coach is just a lazy take when the talent is the one losing

@GregSylvander Assume it’s true, & Jimmy even thought so at the time—why not use it as leverage? Why wait ‘til after you’re paid & left? Why go out of your way to expose someone at their most vulnerable. It serve no purpose to revel this post split outside of humiliation and that’s unhinged.
Y’all remember when Jimmy said there’s only version of events and he’s been quiet this whole time. Ironically you know what is actually unhinged, releasing this to the media.

Pat Riley reportedly cried during his meeting with Jimmy Butler in an attempt to get him to stay, but Butler reportedly viewed him as “unhinged” and became even more convinced to leave the Heat, per @TheAthletic “According to multiple league sources with knowledge of the meeting, tears welled in Riley’s eyes as he attempted to connect with Butler on a human level. Both men had lost their fathers, and Riley’s famed toughness faded in the moment as he thought about Butler mourning his father’s death last season. But Riley’s vulnerability did not land with Butler. The player viewed Riley’s behavior as ‘unhinged,’ a league source close to Butler said.Butler left the meeting more convinced than ever that he needed a new basketball home.” (Via

There’s already like 5 guys in the org who could do the job. We good.
DeMarcus Cousins thinks Bob Myers could go to Miami to replace Pat Riley "With Pat Riley walking out the door, a name that's been really quiet lately, Bob Myers going to Miami. He'd be top-notch for that." (🎥 @RunItBackFDTV )

@Trevian777 He was begging for a 10 day at one point. It was a thing… that’s why this is so hilarious.

@Alf954 💯 What i feel like is when the FO has the right motivation to make a deal they are still elite as it gets. So this isn’t losing their touch I think it’s more about level of urgency, and not making a bad deal.
@CUERVOCAT305 @Trevian777 I don’t think this makes the HEAT contenders (maybe we can make it interesting) but all things considered and where this all started, this trade window looks about as good as the PJ Tucker / Iguodala window.
